Wasn't there a previous movie to this one (with Simon Moon) ? I remember seeing it on TV espescially at the end when Moon takes a van and falls from a cliff.

Norris made a film called silent rage in the early 80s which involved norris tracking an indestructable killer. Theyre similar. But no there isnt a prequel sequel.

The scene you're describing is from this very same movie. Although it doesn't happen at the end of the movie but maybe 15 minutes into it.

This is based on a book which starts pretty much the same way. He had caught the killer (I believe the name Moon was created for the movie) years ago and was living with a form of PTSD. The killer escaped and he has to go after him again. It's been a while but I don't believe he was the animal like character in the movie either.
