Kirsty and Tiffany

A few people have mentioned this before. Seriously, the relationship between these two parallel Nancy and Kristen's relationship from Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. I wonder if this was on purpose or just a coincidence because the dynamic in both situations are uncanny.

1. Like Nancy, Kirsty is the survivor from the original film but still has a lot of trauma from what she's been through.

2. Like Kristen, Tiffany is the new girl who is also troubled by her own trauma and seems to struggle in coping with it.

3. In both cases, each duo lost loved ones and are haunted(figuratively and literally) by evil entities.

4. Like Nancy making it her personal mission to protect Kristen, Kirsty made it her personal mission to protect Tiffany.

5. They go through seemingly impossible obstacles in their latest situation with their former foes.

6. Like Kristen, Tiffany is the main target.

7. Kind of like how Nancy sacrificed herself to save Kristen, Kirsty almost sacrificed herself in saving Tiffany.

I've made this observation on this board previously.

I even believe the actresses playing the characters in both films looked fairly similar too.

I don't know if it was deliberate or not, but it's something that apparently gets noticed a lot.

I was just watching this last night and the first thing I thought of was Kristin and Nancy.

I've always compared this movie to Aliens more than Nightmare 3 but I do notice the Dream Warriors similarities. Kirsty and Tiffany feel more like Ripley and Newt because of the surrogate mother/sister element it has to it. Also this movie feels like Aliens compared to Alien because this film is bigger scale, more epic, more revealing of the monsters, more money behind it, different director/writer with fresh ideas, and just expands upon the universe just like Aliens did!

I picked up on how similar they were when I first saw this.
