I don't understand Coral's statement

She made a comment (and I'm doing this from memory) to Tom Cruise "You shouldn't have blabbed about our sex life, it only gets better." What did she mean about that - all he said was the she wasn't "inanimate." While Bryan Brown's character may have done a favor to Cruise's character by keeping her from him, why was she complaining about over-sharing their sex life?

That is so funny. I just watched that scene and came here to ask the same question. Her behavior actually makes no sense unless Doug made up some story about Brian talking about her sexually in some explicit way. Even then, her response to that is to have sex with Doug and never see Brian again? So we are to believe a girl who has sex with a guys friend for revenge is also the kind of girl who gets easily offended when a guy talks about his sex life with friends? LOL.

Coral is emotionally screwed up. Just like everyone else in this film.

I'm watching it on cable right now and also wondered what that was about. A woman like Coral who would go to bed with a guy the first night she meets him gets offended that he told his best friend they slept together??? And then her idea is revenge sex with the best friend? She was nuts.

I always thought that doug told coral some made up some bs about brian saying something horrible or degading about their sex life. She then thinks he's just using her/lying to her and sleeps with doug out of revenge before dumping him.

Please consider me as an alternative to suicide

In the previous scene, Doug bet $50 that Coral would be sleeping with someone else by the end of the week. I think it was obvious that Doug said something pretty horrible to Coral to get her to make out with him.

Doug likely said, (in his Aussie accent) "Bri tol me you let him put it yer tanker. How 'bout givin' me a crack at yer blow hole";...and for some reason, she got all bent out of shape.

Women...

LOL. I could hear that now.

it was a plot device to split up doug and bryan

and you are right it made no sense

With Brian not realizing that Doug was doing him a favor, because Coral would have just been a user/slut anyway.

"Jesus, does anyone?"

A lot of times in this movie the conflicts seem to come out of nowhere and then resolve in a instant. It seems like the writers forgot to add the reasons for the conflicts into the movie.
What I got from Coral's statement is that Brian told Doug about their sex life when playing basketball. Perhaps they changed the dialogue in that scene from what it was supposed to be (and then forgot to change the latter part)?

I never understood this at all. Doug must have lied to her of camera because there’s no way she could be mad that a guy talked to his best friend about the good sex he’s having with his new girlfriend. Strange

Doug could have told Coral that Brian said her pH was off and she had a gash that reeked like a turtle tank. In turn, Coral could've said, "Oh yeah, Doug?" Then she proceeds to shove his face into her snatch for him to verify.... I dunno....
