Other movies with similar slow paced atmosphere ?

I was a bit surprised with this movie its not very good but it captured the same atmosphere from all of Argentos work which i have seen nearly all of so no need to recommend something from Argento.

Is there anything similar like this preferrably the best rated/works that captures the same slow/tense atmopshere ? I feel like ive reached a point where i have a hard time finding horror movies i havent seen.

I saw a topic in here mentioning Mario bava and Michele Soavi so some of their best works and the director of this movie would be helpful.

Anything outside Italy is also appreciaated, the only thing ive found that has a superb atmosphere is "The Legend of Hell House" from UK over the years.

I personally prefer Argentos Animal Trilogy/early works with the thrillers rather than his horror movies so thrillers in a similar vein would be amazing preferrably highly rated stuff.
