Tim Burton's 2nd best?

Pretty sure everyone agrees that Ed Wood is the best film that Tim Burton has made and probably will ever have made.

But Beetlejuice comes in a close second for me.

Wittier, funnier and more satirical than his other 80's and 90's efforts, Beetlejuice doesn't have the schmaltz of the, admitadly well-made schmaltz of Edward Scissorhands nor does it have the gloomy superhero-ness of his Batman films.

Beetlejuice sees the whole cast enjoying themselves, especially Michael Keaton who is fantastic in the title role.

While Ed Wood is good, my favorite ones are this, Dark Shadows and Sweeney Todd to name a few.

I think that Pee Wee's Big Adventure is the best.

Next to Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice is Burton's most interestng movie.

It's my personal favourite but I wouldn't say it was his best, not even top 5. It's totally random, plot holes everywhere and most of it makes little sense.

Id say Ed wood and Todd would make up the top 2 without being bias.

I'd probably call Edward Scissorhands my favorite.

Batman Returns is easily my favorite film of Tim Burton's, but I also thought Dark Shadows was a really entertaining romp.

I have not seen Ed Wood yet, but I definitely want to.

Ed Wood is #1

I have a hard time deciding on #2, because Beetlejuice, Batman, and Batman Returns are all contenders and at different times, I would probably put any of these three at #2. I feel as if Beetlejuice deserves the #2 spot by itself, though!
