I prefer Zombi 3. While I liked After Death, I thought it got really slow-moving at parts. I think Zombi 3 is more entertaining and I liked the soundtrack a lot more.
shareI watched after death 2 times this week time to watch zombi 3 also I like the music/score both the same actuly but you cant beat al festa living after death into music classic lol!!

Zombie 3 would be my pick! I just re-watched this recently too!
Both aren't the best in the world, but the zombies in Zombie 3 are infinitely better than most. The crazy machete wielding zombie in the abandoned gas station was amazing! That whole scene is just INSANE, in a good way of course.
As I was writing this I realized I actually kind of love Zombie 3 for how insane it is. Plot be gone, and the characters are paper thin but it's a fun zombie flick!
I re-watched half or so of Zombie 4 and got a bit bored, but really the action doesn't kick in until about that point so maybe I should re-watch it all the way again and see what I think of it.

After Death, for me the music is better, its faster paced and it reminded me of Demons
shareI give Zombie 3 the upper hand because of the pace, killer score and Fulci influence. After Death has Jeff Stryker though.
I would place Zombie 5: Killing Birds below 3, but maybe above 4. I like the Louisiana setting and Laura Wendell, who was in so many of these genre films.
