are you *beep* kidding me?

i've seen some dumb scores on imdb. actually most of them are *beep* idiotic

but 5,6 for this movie? are you *beep* kidding me?

it has some spot on political commentary, it has a genuine flair to it, and it's seagal's best or 2nd best film, it's the movie where he introduced his unique fighting style, and is just a classic. 5,6 means slightly above average. if you think this is only slightly above average, obviously your dick has fallen off or you never had one in the first place. seriously, if you think this movie is only slightly above average you're either a woman (which is understandable, a woman would find this movie about as appealing as a man would find the horse whisperer), or you're a man who cannot be identified as one by any objective measure

either way, take some time off and create some proper synapses, you obviously need them.. return and rate again when you're finished

i've also just discovered that "deadly revenge" by seagal has a similar rating of 5,4. deadly revenge is terrible! it's a turd of a movie. a lot of people are obviously roaming this site and just feel important rating movies, probably without even seeing them, because all seagal movies seem to be rated about the same. i cant express how pathetic i find that to be

I also think that, despite its flaws and average acting, it's a criminally underrated movie. I gave it a 7, and that's being a tight-ass.

I believe it is one of the best martial movies around, besides being a good movie in itself.

The key is writers give Nico a really good back story, which is rare in martial arts films.

Seagal acts well (especially considering it's his debut), exhibits some charisma, is given some good dialogue and a fine supporting cast.

The plot is worthwhile, but requires some attentiveness (again, rare for a martial arts themed film) to follow its twists and turns.

I give it 7.5 and believe me I've burned Seagal on a lot of his other crap. But credit where credit is due and this I believe to be his best, perhaps along with Under Siege, also unsurprisingly directed by Andrew Davis.
