The strip club

What's Mr. Shoop slinking around the male strip club for? He's obviously a heterosexual guy and he just happens to pop up there? What gives?

reply

Plenty of desperate women who are in the mood....target rich environment....

Really? Not to make fun but are you talking from experience or at least a second hand story? I know if I were a woman and I seen a dude at the strip club I'd think him to be a homosexual. But you could be right, stranger things go on all the time and people have certainly tried odder things in desperate times.

I’ve never tried it exactly like Shoop, but I can see him going to extraordinary measures when mired in a slump...

When I was a teen, me and few buddies would go to concerts of bands/artists that would attract a female following, with the hope that maybe we could find some nice girls (or not-so-nice)...in the 80s we were stupid little punks that usually listened to music with a heavier sound (metal, punk, thrash- those genres weren’t totally devoid of female fans, but not of the volume of say post-punk new wave)

As I’ve aged and my tastes have become more varied, I can now appreciate and listen to The Cure, Depeche Mode, or hell, even Belinda Carlisle (who I did love with the go-go’s), but at the time, we weren’t really into that type of music...but, the girls were into it, so that’s where we’d go to find ‘em...

Yeah, I can kind of relate. I was a hardcore punk kid myself in the late 80s and early 90s.

I'm just wondering if anyone tried this and had it work. I guess stranger things have happened.
