Damn, painfully dissapointed with this one,not nearly enough bum melting

I LOVE cheesy, low class, B level(if not lower) 80s junk(mainly horror), i knew this was going to be a sleazy and schlocky low budgeter going in, and i still despise this garbage.

I guess maybe my expectations were misplaced. I expected a LOT more awesome, grotesque bum melting. The movie hardly contains ANY of that stuff. I can understand if there were budget constraints so they couldn't show a lot of it, but it's far worse then that, the plot itself hardly ever seems to even involve it. The overwhelming majority of the movie is dimwitted hobo hijinks and absurdly crude sex scenes, which while mildly amusing, def isn't enough to carry a flick or make it the least bit worthwhile. The movie feels more like a pisspoor, failed hobo sex/shock comedy then a movie about bums being melted by toxic booze.

That said, i did enjoy the dick tossing scene. It's impossible not to appreciate the level of absurdity, it just comes out of nowhere too. And he hitches a ride by grabbing on the back of a schoolbus, severed unit in hand, presumably to make it to the hospital. So outlandish, so over the top and out of left field. Hilarious.

Unfortunately though, the bulk of the movie never hits the target for me. The above successfull shock comedy is a rare occurrence. The painfully unfunny level of humor of a hobo stuffing various meats into his pants and then launching into an angry tirade in a grocery store in a painfully overlong, dull, irritating scene is the norm.

Of course when the movie actually did bother to show some Viper guzzlin, it was exactly what any lover of gooey 80s horror/gore could want. Delightfully nasty effects. I NEEDED far more of it though.

I say enjoy it for what it was instead of what it wasn't.

Agreed, I thought this was gonna be a fun and cheesy movie with lots of awesome gore scenes. Unfortunately, it didn't even really have a storyline or a narrative and just felt like a bunch of random scenes thrown together. Like someone just got a camera and filmed the trashiest people they could find then added a few body melting scenes. I still found it somewhat enjoyable though despite being mostly a letdown.

you sound like me in what you thought of it and how good this movie is when you said, i still found it somewhat enjoyable though despite being mostly a letdown. this is not a bad movie but it's not a good movie either.

Well it's hard to make a movie around some hobos melting, those scenes sure are well made, but the rest is forgettable filler.

exactly that's what i thought late in the movie. with about 30 minutes left i thought, we haven't had a body melt violent scene in a long time. they went like 30 minutes without any body melt scene and for a horror movie of this kind you can't go 30 minutes without someone getting killed. 3/4s of the movie is worthless scenes of people doing things that don't add anything to the story. also, no character development, and not a clear or good or coherent story. so you can't care about any of the characters or the story.

also the fact that they spend so much time on the main characters would make you think they have to have developed the main characters but no, they never develop the characters.
