I can see what this movie is trying to do, I think, but I don't remember a movie experience as ugly or saddening in quite some time. The movie doesn't really recover from the gang rape sequence, it just continues downhill.
And a 12-second nightmare is a lot better than a 102-minute one, so that wasn't even clever.

In the genre of horror-comedy Street Trash is legendary. Budgeting aside, Street Trash is professional beyond belief, and it creates its crazy world perfectly. This is the Citizen Kane of liquifying bum movies.

I was totally intrigued by his movies because I love bad movies. I was so disappointed. They look like they were made by a 12 year-old, and they're about as funny.
Swear to god, in Filthy McNasty, there's a scene where they sing "Double Team" by Tenacious D to some fat girl without a shirt on. It's not funny, they're just repeating someone else's funny song. It's obnoxious and they sing the whole thing. It's lazy filmmaking at its best.
Street Trash is great though, they're very similar in style.

it has some standout, hilarious scenes that are original and not cliche and are not just gross out, b movie scenes that are there for no reason like these scenes in a lot of troma movies. but the whole is not good. most of the movie i spent bored watching characters i don't care about that are not really funny or entertaining.
i will say it's better than most troma movies though. this is what a troma movie would be if they had more money and more originality.

i loved this movie! then i got the 2 disk set and watched it again. still loved it. Then i watched the extra disk documentary and now i love this movie more than ever before.
the OP obviously has no idea how much time effort and money goes into a production. it's absolute genius what these people did with what they had. the biggest laugh and shock to me was Brian Singer started as a dildo transporter and is now a huge director.

'Street Trash' is beyond great. Very funny, great effects. Overall a fun ride from start to finish. What type of B-Movie were you expecting from this out of curiosity? Maybe you had a different idea what was to come from this movie.

Wrong, I`ve just watched this for the first time and it was great fun. It was a well made funny crazy and memorable film, you don`t see films like this too often. Definately a cult classic.

you don't see films like this often, not just too often. but that still doesn't make it a good movie. hey, it's not a bad movie, it's just not a good movie. i wasn't invested in any of the characters, i didn't understand the characters personalities, or motivations, i didn't care about any of the characters. they were all just there and not real people, so very artificial. so shallow character development and they never explained what was in the viper drink.
also, 3/4s of the movie i was so uninterested in what was going on and then there were breaks in the monotony of great, hilarious scenes and lines but all the good scenes only made up about 15 minutes of the movie.
I doubt that you've ever seen a single trashy B movie in your entire life.

I'm gonna side with the OP. Definatley not one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but it was definatley lacking something. I LOVE movies like The Toxic Avenger, Re-Animator, Peter Jackson's early movies, Frank Henenlotter's stuff, 70's and 80's Italian horror, etc. But something about this movie was very off for me.

sharei can tell you the things it lacked, a story that makes sense and is coherent, characters you care about, characters that are realistic and do realistic things, a story that stays on track. it feels like they are just making the story up as it goes along. like "hey, lets put this ridiculous sight gag scene here that will get 'em." so that scene has nothing to do with the story and is just there for shock value.
i wasn't invested in any of the characters, i didn't understand the characters personalities, or motivations, they weren't real people in this movie, they were just there, very shallow character development.
it's not a bad movie it's just not a good movie. but it's close to being a good movie. it's the closest a movie can get to being a good movie. it's better than most troma movies. it's like a troma movie only it's more original and has a bigger budget. also it doesn't have shock scenes that are just there to shock you and are immature and juvenile like a troma has. it has troma's b-movie, do it yourself spirit and energy and style. the goofy, silly, over the top humor and crazy characters doing crazy things is troma like.
