Kate in the waterfall

Any man would have fallen like a ton of bricks for her, right then and there. Kate Capshaw is drop dead beautiful and that scene just showcased her beauty.

I spend my money on dope, sex and cheap thrills.
The rest of it, I waste.

Does anyone but me think they "did the deed" under that waterfall?

I'm only in Show Biz by injection

reply

No, they didn't. One of the essential parts of romantic Westerns of the L'Amour and Zane Grey variety, is that the hero cowboy is always respectful of the women in the story.

Vallian definitely gave her "The Look" that she may have responded to, but in true respectful fashion, he turns his mount around and leaves her to finish her shower.

She has some real assets, including her eyes. Funny how she takes a whiff of Sam's burning flesh when her husband gleefully cauterizes the wound.

At the very beginning Con (aka Elliott) makes it clear that he finds Susanna very attractive. This doesn't set well with the hubby. When the waterfall scene is done there is an assumption that something naughty may happened but doesn't. I like that it didn't because it should Susanna's loyalty and fidelity to her husband. And Con never pursued his feelings especially in the scene when he was recovering in the wagon. Of course there's the kissing scene that created a spark. I wasn't surprised because Duncan (aka Conti) was being rather dismissive to the danger he and his family faced. Con showed the strength that Duncan fell short of and Susanna found that strength very appealing. The end result was a one time passionate kiss.

I think the comments you two made are the essence of this film, rj-27 and mloessel. I couldn't have said it better myself.
