this is one of burt's best, if stroker ace can be available on dvd, then malone should be too. the pool cue beat down is a classic. burt totally went for the charlie bronson bad-ass role in malone, and it needs a dvd version so more people can see the greatness of this movie.
shareyou can buy it but it is region 1 dvd, takes a while as made to order I think but bought it myself from amazon and have no complaints though quality is not as good as mass produced dvd's but does the job and much better than bootleg video standard 4.3 copies out there, maybe if enough people pay for the special ordered copies MGM will give it a proper release like the movie Stick.
Yes it is cheesy but remember all action movies made in the late eighties was like that and it is just a film of the time period it was made.
just found a german release dvd but not enough info to say if 1.77.1 standard so not sure if this copy is widescreen or if they went for the cheaper option of the video 4.3 standard release version as some film companies like to do ?!!
but it is region 2 for those who cannot watch region 1 dvd's though most google searches for your model of dvd player can yeld basic region switching function that you type in using your remote control, myself prefer region 1 as usually not cut to shreds like the BBFC so longer running time.
