Loggia Unchained!

I have NEVER seen Robert Loggia give a performance so unhinged, so manic. I had no idea he was even capable of such lunacy. The scenes with Loggia and Cusack on the boat absolutely floored me, even if most of the rest of the movie was somewhat average. Can anyone think of a comparable role from Loggia's filmography?

Loggia also gets pretty nuts in Innocent Blood.

........Acting!

It was great to see him have fun. I wish he got to play Long John Silver in some movie. :)

I thought he stole the movie: "You read Treasure Island, didn't you?" "What did you say your name was, Don?"

So what you're saying is, you've never seen Lost Highway (1997)? 

Loggia is a riot in this movie, but he's relatively normal here compared to his character in Lost Highway. An unhinged madman? You're talking about Mr. Eddy, man! (Interestingly, his performance in LH was apparently inspired by Loggia himself, after he went on an explosive rant for being turned down for a role.)

Anyhow, Loggia is definitely a loose cannon in this one. Cusack's energetic performance carries the movie, but Loggia is THE scene stealer.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!
