30 years ago, people thought the future would look like Miami Vice
Glass block walls, neon, synthesizer music, bulky computers. I made it through twenty minutes of this poorly-made b-movie and its cheap sets and bad script before I gave up. Does anyone else ever watch garbage like this and wonder how much better it would have been if they had thrown more money at it? Refine the script, get some better special effects, set design, music, and some realistic-looking future cars? Blade Runner did the future perfectly, from set design all the way up to prevailing theme. And BR didn't have Melanie Griffith's speech impediment.
Before this afternoon, I had never heard of this film, and was looking forward to watching it on MGM (saw it on the listing). Now I know why it remains virtually unknown.
