I can't explain to you how much I loved this film

It was fantastic and Mickey Rourke was funny, legendary, great. The dialogue was immense, classic film.

Tons better than Factotum which was crap in comparison.

Yeah, it takes you to places rarely visited, introduces moods rarely encountered. Above all, it`s the volatile unpredictability that makes it such a treat, and the way it also gets the quieter moments right. The acting`s outstanding with Rourke & Dunaway in particular near or at their best, the dialogue`s fresh and witty and the cinematography communicates vibes that`re just right. Whattan uncommon, unwholesome beast of a film - even if, as some have argued, it romanticizes the circumstance a tad too much in places (while still always articulating the drunk`s point of view with authenticity and complexity). Excellent.
