looking for a copy

Hi, I'm looking for a copy of barfly.
I don't have $120 for the dvd.
yes, it's a wounderfuly dark movie, but worth $120? hmmm, I think not.
infact I can't name any dvd worth that much.
I'm willing to pay for a copy, if someone is willing to copy it for me.
I'm still in school and money is hard to come by,but it's worth, say $20.
you can email me at [email protected]
I'm a huge bukowski fan, I own some of his books and have been to his grave site. "don't try" and would love to get my hands on a copy, thanks.

Here's a place that isn't gouging their customers. Ordered my copy today. Can't speak for the quality but its Barfly. Its almost appropriate to watch this movie on VHS on an old color TV.

This is what I did and some other people have had some luck with this.
I got the Greek version from a seller on eBay. It was like 11.99 plus shipping.
The package is written in Greek, but it's the original film with Greek subtitles and they can be easily turned off.

The transfer isn't great. The dark scenes look very shiny and there's nothing even close to true black, but it's the movie and it's not $100.
Worth it to me until they put out a legit version.

It was released in Germany (Region 2) by Koch Media on September 25, 2009.

It comes in two editions.

There is a one-disc edition with the film in anamorphic widescreen (16:9, 1.85:1), German and English language tracks, German subtitles, German and English trailers and a picture gallery of rare promo materials such as posters, lobby cards and press-kit photos. The transfer is quite good and does justice to Robby Mueller's great cinematography.

The two-disc edition, which costs nearly twice as much, features all of the above plus Barbet Schroeder's 1985 documentary on Bukowski, The Charles Bukowski Tapes, on the second disc, but the running time is listed at 120 minutes, which means it's the cut version (the uncut version is twice as long), so I ended up buying the one-disc version for a very reasonable 10 euros at my local department store in Berlin. You should be able to easily order it online on the German Amazon website.

I just bought mine for a quarter at a local store! I didn't even care for the movie that much.
