If you are a die hard fan, there is a way to get this movie cheap. What I did was order it on my libraries website, they got it for me pretty quickly. Then I kept it and told them that I simply lost the dvd and paid a little fine, like 16 bucks.
This may or may not work for you, but considering how hard the film is to find, try it.
All of this bickering over nothing when you can go to youtube (if you can't then how the hell are you on the internet) and do a search for Barfly 1. You can view each piece in 10 min segments and there you go. Yeah, it's stealing in a sense but it's youtube not a library. Deal with it.

Just a funny thing I noticed while... drinking, probably the last coherent and slightly clever/amusing thought I'll have before passing out tonight.
