RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

Used to be CJ have seen them live in '88.

reply

Hold Your Fire tour? I went to that, as well as the Power Windows and Presto tours.

reply

Yes it was the Hold Your Fire tour great show never heard three guys make so much noise lol ,but it was great show with Peart having a 15 min drum solo and at the end of the drumsolo breaking into a very irregular drum pattern of the next song amazing drummer seen Phil Collins during the Invisible Touch tour with the trademark double drum solo/Los Endos(with Chester Thompson) but Peart beat the both them.

reply

You said used to be. Not now? I was never a huge Rush fan. Now, Phil Collins is fantastic.

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

Still listen to them but haven't heard much of the stuff after Roll The Bones plus they have been on an hiatus because of the fact that both Peart's daughter and wife died shortly after each other which made him quit music for a while and spend time travelling the globe on his bike, the future of Rush was uncertain for a while because Lee and Lifeson didn't want to continue Rush without Peart. But now they are back together again and there has been somewhat of a re-discovery of Rush by the mainstream and there album Clockwork Angels got very positive critiques from the music press and the public they have become members of The Rockยดn Roll Hall Of Fame and were on their 45th anniversary tour last year.

reply

So, you still enjoy them immensely?

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

Those Rush albums I have yes I regularly listen to them depending on my mood what albums I play.Of late I've been playing a lot of Signals I am particularly fond of Chemistry,Digital Man and a longtime favourite of mine Losing It(love that violin/guitar/drum solo bit) and La Villa Strangiato from Hemispheres I can put on any time, just like the Some Enchanted Evening (live) version of Astronomy by Blue Oyster Cult.

reply

Who knows?

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

There had been talks with BOC for the '98 movie that they would use the song and BOC was willing to let them use the rights but it sort of never came off.

reply

Also a great track CJ you probably picked it up from Halloween? When rehearsing with a band during my school years a friend and I were always fascinated by that (what we would call)the Twilight Zone theme(the 80's version) part that the guitar plays.

reply

Halloween indeed. Burning for you is a good one too.

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

Sorry haven't read that before I replied, the Imaginos album from '88 is also quite good have you heard that one as well (they also do a new version of Astronomy on that as well)? It's sort of a concept album dealing about the Illuminati great songs as well it's a bit like some of Queensrรฟche's albums.

reply

Not overly familiar with Queensryche. Heard of them, obviously, but don't know many of their songs. Now, Queen, I adore.

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

Their first three albums The Warning,Rage For Order and especially Operation Mindcrime(which won an Edison(comparable with a Grammy) for Hardrock album of year here in Holland)are very good.Queensrรฟche is a mix of hardrock and Pink Floyd I think you might like it CJ check songs Take Hold On The Flame,Roads To Madness(with complete orchestra and choir),Gonna Get Close To You(Dalbello song),Screaming In Digital,Neue Regel,I Will Remember,And the complete Mindcrime album(which is a concept album)Suite Sister May is awesome and you might know the Pink Floyd's(Comfortably Numb) ode Silent Lucidity.

Remember that the Borg designations only apply to Borg working in a specific unit. Yes, there are probably a hundred "Seven of Nines" working on a Borg cube, but there is only ONE Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01. "Hugh" was Third of Five, but he was only Third of Five of the shuttle crew he was with. As long as they can distinguish between sub-collectives working as smaller units, then the designations make sense.

But he would have to say the rest too.
Like: "Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01. "
I think that would have Been as good as the huge long number too.

The two police officers in It's A Wonderful Life.

reply

I guess Seldon wrote the answer ,and I don't get the fascination for It's a Wonderful Life ,too sentimental for my tastes.

reply

Seldon is correct, and it's one of the greatest movies of all time. You should be ashamed of yourself!

RIP Gene Wilder. One of the funniest people of all time. RIP Matt Roberts. You were great.

reply

I will not call It's A Wonderful Life the greatest movie of all time ,that IMO is 2001 ASO .It's a good Capra movie but like I said I am not a fan of overly sentimental stuff if I had to choose movies from that era I would pick I Was A Fugitive From A Chain-Gang,Foreign Correspondent,Angels With Dirty Faces,White Heat,Citizen Kane,Scarface,The Maltese Falcon,Treasure Of Sierra Madre,Key West,The Wizard Of Oz (What a way to enter the world of technicolour) and movies like that.

reply

I said one of the greatest movies of all time. One. And Rocky is the greatest movie of all time as fatal as I'm concerned. Wizard of Oz is my # 3.
