Is Star Trek Voyager Better Than Next Generation?

I have seen a few episodes of Voyager and it looks better, the opening credits are beautiful, the space scenes look better there are a lot of good space battles.

Kate Mulgrew is a great actress probably better than any actor or actress in Star Trek Next Generation, great as Janeway.

The crew ae good with The Doctor being an awesome character.

Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, the former Borg is awesome, i watched her first appearence in Scorpion at the start of Season 4, a gorgeous woman even in full Borg form, but obviously looks better when she goes back to human form, very interesting character, My friend who was a big Star Trek fan went to a convention and bought an action figure of Seven Of Nine and Jeri Ryan was at the convention and she signed the box.

Is Voyager better than Next Generation?

In my opinion, YES! VOY is better than TNG! Considerably so. In my opinion. It's not bogged dn in philosophy, psychology or tecknobabble.

And no! Mulgrew is not The BEST New Star Trek actor! In my opinion. Though she does stand shoulder 2 shoulder.

or tecknobabble.

You want to rethink that one?

reply

So what, FrostedOne? So does every other Trek show, even TOS! Differing degrees, maybe, but the technical stuff is always there.

Why are you here if you haven't seen the movie yet?

reply

I wasn't the one saying it didn't. No need for a hissy fit

reply

frosted_one; technobabble.

TNG is the only Trek show worth watching.

I was immediately thinking about this when he wrote tecknobabble;

I'm just messing with you, but no way. Yeah, by the time Voyager came around, they'd perfected the presentation of the technology in the 24th century, and of course 7 is major stroking material, but beyond the superficial, TNG was better in every way.

I did love Voyager, and it had some great episodes, but it's not in the same league.

VOY was bland and boring ,with bland characters, rehashing of stories, 7 of 9(which I felt was an insult),and Mulgrew's nasal voice.

X here thinks she was the best actor in the entire franchise. Better than Stewart. Can you believe that, Nexy?

She reminds me of Katharine Hepburn, one of the greatest actresses ever

reply

My sister doesn't care for Hepburn despite her 5 Oscars.

Mulgrew might be a good actress but she ain't no Stewart plus I felt the way she was written was forced I don't know I found her pretty bland like most of the characters, while they actually had a good premise for conflict within the crew one part being the Maquis and the other part being from Starfleet they could have done an entire season about the conflicting ideals and crew members having to deal with each other and the situation both parties get thrown in and how they deal with adversity and by working together eventually work things out and become to respect each other (sort of like how the T'Pol-Archer story arc turned out). But nope after two or three episodes all seems peachy.
