Do you think Mighty Mouse could beat up Superman?

I've been watching some Mighty Mouse cartoons lately, and I would say probably not. Mighty Mouse doesn't seem all that powerful, comparatively speaking, to Superman.

On the other hand, Superman might be hard-pressed to hit such a small target as a mouse. Like fighting Ant-Man. You might be 10X his strength, but good luck hitting him!!!

Superman can easily hit much smaller targets. In addition to x-ray vision, heat vision, and telescopic vision, Superman also has microscopic vision. But the fact of the matter is we're talking about one pretend superhero against another pretend superhero.

That and the fact that Superman is a real guy and not a cartoon...

Wrong.

Superman started as a COMIC, which is even less than a cartoon, as it's not even animated!

Then Superman cartoons were also made, so basically it's cartoon vs. cartoon.

It's not Mighty Mouse's fault if no one made a 'live-action version' of his story, but that doesn't mean he's less real or that Superman isn't a cartoon also.

After watching some of the DVDs, I think Mighty Mouse would probably be a more appropriate opponent for Mr. Incredible from The Incredibles. That would come down to a lighter version of Hulk vs Superman.

The thing is, Superman started off as 'not-that-OP' (couldn't even fly), but gradually, they made him into so overpowered that nothing else can basically match without story trickery or kryptonite.

Kind of weak writing to just create a superficial vulnerability like that, instead of actually building in some kind of weakness or fault.

Hulk has nothing on Superman. Flash can't run faster than Superman. It's kind of stupid that one character can be stronger and faster than other chars, where their ONLY power is speed or strength. If it were written intelligently, Superman wouldn't be -quite- as strong as Hulk, and also not -quite- as fast as Flash. That would give Flash and Hulk some kind of value. But what's the point when Superman can do it all, and better than anyone else.

As far as 'good luck with hitting the mouse', Superman is also highly intelligent, and if you remember the movies, he can basically fly multiple times faster than light. So catching some feeble cartoon mouse wouldn't take much effort for him.

On the other hand, this kind of discussion belongs to kindergarten, and is probably a wildly debated issue in some form or another, and stems basically from 'my dad can beat your dad' crap. Yawn. Childish, superficial, meaninless and boring.

Dude, just what are you on? Neither of them are real.

You're on a Stand By Me board and you don't recognize that line?

reply

Really...did your mother have any kids that lived?

reply

Of course everyone recognized that line, but if you're going to use it without quotes, have nothing else in your post, and use it as an argument, then prepare to have things explained to you.

There is a lesson in there for actually using your OWN thoughts and brain for arguing your case instead of just parroting or regurgitating lines from movies - lines, that some OTHER people wrote..
