One of the worst 80's slasher movies

I've seen tons of 80's cheesy slashers and i enjoy them, but this was truly terrible.

I agree, this was nowhere near good. It had a few slight charms, but overall, I didnt really like it :(
Plus, why is there a bed, and a bath tub in a high school?

I've also seen tons of these slasher movies and I agree this one was BAD...not that it did not have it moments (the kills were awesome) but the acting, whew...when I watch horror movies, no way am I expecting oscar-worthy acting but the blonde (can't even remember her name, lol) wow. Watching her get electrocuted was a moment when I said to myself, at least I don't have to watch her anymore, lol

"The stay awake" is the worst 80s slasher film in existence! Hands down. Dull, unimaginative, no gore, slow paced, techincally retarded. It sucks.

Honorable mention-the majorettes was pretty bad.

Slaugter High is actually in my slasher top 5. Along with Friday the 13th part 4, halloween, april fools day, and the funhouse

This movie isn't that bad. I think the mask is the best part. One of the best 80's horror masks.

I loved this movie but I love all 80s slashers.

It was alright as slashers go. I even liked the "surprise ending". The only thing that puzzled me were the cuts made to the movie. They cut the acid bath and the two people getting electrocuted but they left in the scene with the guy under the tractor and, IMO, the worst death with the poison beer.

I abhor censorship and I believe all people who censor movies should have a lobotomy. Strong statement that stems from a strong belief. A lot of the cuts don't make sense to me.

Long live the 70's!

^^^AMEN BROTHER!

There exists a cut *without* the acid bath scene? Man, that's a shame. That's easily one of the best deaths in the movie.

reply

Come on. There were countless slashers in the 80's that were so awfully boring, they could put you to sleep. This one may have been a bit silly, but it was actually entertaining all the way through.

Try also, The Boy From Hell and The Chair ... for terrible 2 star-rated horror.

The problem with you mortals is that you just don't know when to quit

Slaughter high may not be an Oscar winner but at least it isn't dull. I think things like the abandoned Victorian school, the OTT fake American high school stereotypes and cliche slasher antics give it a unique and bizarre atmosphere, it's almost a parody of cheesy slasher movies but not quite.

This must be like 20.000 movie I've seen someone made "Worst movie ever" thread.

This is far from worst slasher movie. You can always go lower. You can always go "Don't Go Near the Park" or "Don't Go in the Woods", but someone will probably correct me on that.
