Oh I found you!

I was starting to think I was crazy and made this whole movie up in my head. I have been looking for this movie forever and the only title i knew it by was "The quest" thank god it really exists, I havent seen it since i was 5 or 6.

Now that i found the info for it I will own it within a few weeks. YAY!

Jesus! Did I just say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?

I also am part of this strange phenomenon... and have very vivid yet vague and obscure memories of this movie from my childhood.

All i remembered were the aborigines chanting something, and the monster in the lake, and of course the scene where he builds the scuba gear to swim down to it... and being thoroughly terrified. Also, I remember the ending, and what the monster ends up actually being.

The only difference is that I found it on the internet about 7 or 8 years ago, but I still have no been able to re-watch it. I can not find a copy anywhere.

Perhaps I will post on the DVD topic on this msg board in hopes of getting a copy.

This movie is one of my childhood movie higlights. For me the things that I remember are the scared guy in the beginning, the ominous bubbles coming from the water and the crane itself. I never got to actually searching for it (don't know why) until my brother told me two years ago, that he found it. Apparently he also had fond memories of it. Now I remembered it again and decided to check this board.
Definitely a movie worthy of a Blue-Ray or HD release. Hope someone has the money and the will to do it.

Wow, I am 10 years too late on this post, but I had a random thought about "Donkagens" or whatever pop into my head and tried to find the movie, rather, I went on a Quest to find The Quest. Awesome. Cheers.
