Changes I would make.

-Go deeper with the Maureen character, but no romance between her and Norman.

-Duke would be more of a morally ambiguous character as opposed to a hardcore slimeball.

-Give the reporter more of edge and have her be the one to blackmail Norman over "mother."

--The ending would be a big showdown between Norman/"mother", Duke and the reporter.
