"Iron Eagle" was originally intended to be released in the summer of 1986, but the release was pushed up to January to avoid competition and confusion with "Top Gun".

I was never a Top Gun guy.
I never saw the greatness in it besides great soundtrack songs.
Besides the music Ziron Eagle all the way.
