Deleted scenes?

I seen this movie The Hitcher back in the '80s and I thought there was a scene with Rutger Hauer attempting to kill c Thomas Howell with a miniature crossbow, a scene at night at/in/around a swimming pool. I could have sworn this, or am I getting that mixed up with another movie?
