to make my list woody has to have acted written & directed)

1 - husbands & wives (one of the two best comic films about marriage ever - the other being two for the road)

2 - broadway danny rose (paean to standup comedy glory days)

3 - manhattan (definitive woody allen, more self-effacing and self-critical than annie hall)

4 - sleeper (great stupid humor - stupid is good)

5 - annie hall (iconic woody, great funny bits & satire on tv & music industry)

honorable mentions - crimes & misdemeanors, anything else (does anybody else but me like this one?)

2) Love and Death-Woody's most underrated film
3) Annie Hall
4) Crimes and Misdemeanors
5) Deconstructing Harry

reply

1. Annie Hall
2. Manhattan
3. Zelig
4. Take The Money And Run (probably his funniest)
5. Bananas

When I see more of his stuff I'll extend the list. Oh yeah and the Woody Allen movie where Diane Keaton is the hottest award goes to Sleeper.

reply

1) Manhattan
2) Deconstructing Harry
3) Annie Hall
4) Interiors
5) Hannah and Her Sisters
(my two favorite pre-annie hall flicks are everything you always wanted to know about sex and Sleeper)

reply

2. Everyone says I love you (easily his most underrated)
3. Hannah and Her Sisters
4. Crimes and Misdemeanors
5. September (Again, underated)
Honrary mention: Stardust Memories for its sheer wackiness.
