In my humble opinion this is the most underated animated film of all time. Its a shame such an awesome film is overlooked by many people today and (even with Disney considering theyve never really marketed any GMD toys). As a kid this was one of my favourites, and even rewatching it as an adult I still enjoyed it. Plus Ratigan is one badass villain.

I think its the second most underrated Disney animated film, after The Black Cauldron. It certainly deserves to be better known today.

Totally agree! I saw this when it was released 30 years ago and have never seen it since as it has rarely been shown on TV. Just watched it again now and it was so much fun! Basil, Dr Dawson, Mr Flaversham and little Olivia are great good guys to root for. And Rattigan is a great bad guy, voiced by the icon that is Vincent Price. Love it!
shareAgree, part of me always felt they dropped the ball on this one, as I think, though maybe not strong enough for a 2nd movie, it would have been perfect for a Duck Tales/Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers style mini series like Disney did in the late 80's/early 90's.
