The Divide and Conquer Plan And Alan’s Response

This plan, thought up by Harry standing on a mountainous LA outlook the morning after his kidnapped viewing of the ”second feature” is a good one, and well-played by Harry. Alan’s response? Not so much.

So Harry goes at them to find their identities, tilting the bargaining table back to even. Shows Alan his books, Alan sees he does, in fact, only have $52K to give. He does this expecting two things: that Alan will ask who told Harry where to find him, and will likely try to cut his partners out and keep all the money. Harry deals with the question by blaming Leo — destabilizing the three musketeers while hopefully keeping Doreen safe. As for Alan cutting out his partners — which he does, by telling them Harry “owes everything to the government” — why does he send Bobby off to kill Harry? He can’t collect the money if Harry’s dead.

“I want to ask you a question,” Harry asks Bobby.
“How come you come breaking in here when I’m going to HAND you fifty thousand dollars?”

I’d like to know too.
