Did anyone feel sorry for Calahan in the episode "Big Trouble With Little Slimer"?

Calahan didn't seem like he was a really bad guy, I've felt sorry for him that he'd gotten fired along with Peck for trying to destroy Slimer, I feel like Calahan went along with everything Peck desired.

I also thought Peck was a bigger douchebag here than he was in the first movie.
