Wow, this movie was wretched! *spoiler*

I rented it from Netflix, as when I was a kid I remember being horribly frightened by the picture on the box but my mom never rented the film.
I thought it'd be a so-bad-its-good kind of film, but it wasn't. It was atrociously acted, even by campy but decent Michael Moriarty (what kind of pitifully done accent was that supposed to be? Southern?)

It had no real story, and no explanation as to what The Stuff actually was!
I enjoy a good campy movie now and then, but this wasn't worth the wait.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

It had more story than the majority of horror movies.

Corporate greed and excess. The US's junk food addiction. I won't claim this movie was tremendously deep, but it commented on some real issues in a humorous way and had a fairly original premise at a time when slasher movies were dominating the horror scene.

I've got a lot of affection for it.
