the dvd release i got of this is awful considering it being a major 1980's movie with two of the most well known comedy stars, the only option is english subtitles and the picture is spotty and you'd have to change the setting on the television set to get the right format and not get too wide a picture, and it's warner brothers no less, anyway, its release is region 2, 2006 edition, and you might as well watch it on the 1986 video cassette release. i sometimes like to get the soundtracks to movies, this flick had very few tunes in it for a dan aykroyd movie, though the tune "soul finger" starring in a major part, and a cameo from b.b. king, funny how bo diddley and b.b. king weren't in the 1980's "blues brothers" movie but made cameos each by themselves in later aykroyd flicks (bo diddley as a pawn shop guy in "trading places" and b.b. king as an agent in this), they both were in the "blues brothers 2000" sequel though playing on stage together. oh, and frank oz in yet a small part in this. you forget chevy chase and dan aykroyd joined together again in "nothing but trouble" (1991) since aykroyd is unrecognisable in that, and again they joined in the "family guy"'s episode spoofing of this very movie. i wonder if this movie also serves as inspiration for peter griffin being in awe watching a play where they work the title of the play into the dialogue, because i think they work the title of the movie into the dialogue a bit too much in this.
