Elizabeth Berridge

the Best Part of An Otherwise Worthless Film ... okay , Levi Helm was good , too.

That was Levon, and boy is he missed!

I liked his acting in this movie- typical loving father, but left all the difficult stuff to the mom... Oh yeah- and that house was awesome too.

I thought Levi, Laura, and Elizabeth Berridge were all good (the other actors too).

Berridge was miscast though because not only was there no such thing as a 20-something "spinster" by 1985 (as the character "June" is portrayed in the 1966 short story), but Elizabeth Berridge was VERY cute and definitely not believable in such a role. Her breasts in the shower scene of "The Funhouse" still remained burned in my adolescent mind, and she actually had a pretty big and pretty sexy role in the Acasemy-Award winning "Amadeus" the year before this.

You found the film worthless because you obviously haven't read the short story.

It would be so nice if something would make sense for a change.

Reading the book on which a movie is based should never be a prerequisite for enjoying or otherwise finding value in a film. If it does, the movie is indeed "worthless".
