Was Danny Trejo actually in this?

I know he was the boxing coach, all because he showed up to help a P.A. with his drug problem, danny being a drug conselour, and i'm sure cocaine was all over the set, the russian director said you look like you fit the part, you're in the movie, and he trained Eric Roberts box...... but was he in the movie for very much??

reply

He was Eric Roberts' boxing opponent. Look close and you can see the lady tattoo on his torso. He looks way different now though.

Y'all hear that? We're using code names.

So he was only at the end of this film, how many minutes would you say please, the movie doesn't look that good. but I'm willing to watch it for his first apperance in acting while he was still a drug conselour...

reply

No, not the end, more like the beginning, when he and Roberts's character have their match. Maybe for 1-2 minutes. Roberts basically beats the crap out of him in the ring.Trejo has much shorter hair than now, and you don't see him clearly for long, it's quick and done. You can recognize the big tattoo on his chest.

The movie wasn't bad, it's kind of dated,'80s style. Voight's accent was ridiculous. Roberts was good.

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

Listed in the end credits as "Boxer - Daniel Trejo".

Yeah, I know... nearly 5 years late, but what the hell... 

reply

Are you not able to read the credits for yourself?

He was the boxer near the beginning who is getting the crap beat out him by Eric Roberts' character.

Apparently, the story about how you he got started in acting is not true because he haddone at least one movie before this one.

reply

Thanks for that insult, but can you read? He's not in the IMDb credits. I did see him in this terrible film after all.
But if you think he had other movies before this you don't know anything Danny, I suggest watching his documentary if you don't want to sound ignorant. Your spelling needs work too.

can you read? He's not in the IMDb credits.

Yes, he is, albeit not on the initial IMDb page. You have to click "see full cast" at end of the credits list to get to the full credits page: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089941/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
