The pool party scene is cringe worthy.

Freddy at the pool party is one of the WORST moments of the whole series. Fred looked so ridiculous throwing around chairs and chasing after teenagers who were bigger than him and the "You are all my children now" line makes no sense. This whole movie is chock full of series worse moments but that one takes the cake.

I didn't see anything wrong with the sequence.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

I thought it was great. At the beginning of the party I asked myself "Wouldn't it be great if Freddy came along and started to kill those stupid teenagers?" And lo and behold, my wish was granted :)

The best part of this movie was when he comes busting up out of the ground / concrete at the pool party. He kind of looks like Spiderman. Lol

Hahaha. That's funny you say that! The first time I saw this movie as a kid that was my first thought.

I always laugh so hard when that dorky blonde dude literally runs right into Freddy's glove lol. Lose your glasses in the stamped bro? :)

Someone didn't realize that they outnumbered Freddy by like 40 people?!

Damn, Get a group of 4 or 5 jocks and shield the group with lawn chairs and try to fight him off and push him in the damn pool or something at least. I know he's wearing a glove with knives but it's not a gun or anything.

All they had for defense was that moron class president type dude trying to soothe Freddy's anger lol. Awesome fml.

What are you guys talking about!? The pool party scene is awesome! And of course all the kids are going to be terrified of Freddy. First of all, he looks incredibly frightening. Secondly, the guy jumps out of a glass window/sliding door and disappears into thin air, before he even lands, and then jumps out from a totally different area. And all this happens while the pool water is boiling and lights are exploding. Who the hell is going to run up to him and try to stop him!? The guy looks like a demon!

reply

Because I would rather try to fight instead of running around in a chaotic mess. Especially when I have 40 plus people by my side. Supernatural or not.

I suppose the smartest thing would have been to hide somewhere like the cabana or a bush or just play dead.

The scene was fine and helped the tiny kill count.

Plus Freddy is supernatural and extremely strong so even if some guys did try to team up on him they'd die.

Plus the party people may have been taller than Fred but they are definitely not big, they all looked skinny/weedy or lanky so it is not that surprising that they all ran from him.
