Nobody ever complains about kids (actors or viewers) seeing extreme violence in movies.

Swedes are fcked in the head. That's why.
shareHeaven forbid anyone watch Pollyanna from Disney. The first scene is a child's bare bottom. Oh my.
shareI once sawca Chinese-Russian film made, I think, in the 80's...I forget the name, it was in Russian and I don't read Russian...and it showed girls ages 8-15 +/- fully nude in a shower scene in freezing weather during WWII in Russia. It was non-sexual, therefore in the US the film was rated "R" (but mainly for violence and profanity).
There's a US film called "Child Bride" shows (shortly) a 12 year old girl fully nude, also non-sexual.
As long as it's non-sexual they can show, male or female, of any age nude in film.
I mean, there are photographs and paintings of prepubescent and older children nude in museums and churches all over the world. As long as it's not sexual or perverted most places--while they may have laws on who may view them or have warning labels, it's not considered child pornography.
I mean, look at nude beaches...not just for adults.

Knowing your past, this comment doesn't surprise me.
shareOh, good GRIEF! I sort of think of "Mitt liv som hund" as the Swedish "To Kill a Mockingbird", not only because of similar coming-of-age motifs, but because of the thematic complexity that takes several viewings to get a handle on. The victory scene at the end where Ingemar and Saga are asleep on the couch with his arm around her is profound on multiple levels. Two or three seconds that Blow. You. Away. Europeans probably discuss this film and talk about the symbolism in the boxing matches, in sick Uncle Arvidsson, in the noise of Fransson hammering on his roof. This film is so rich! What's the only thing a typical American sees? Ten seconds or however long it is of preteen nipple. Let's face it; that's what catches an American's attention. I'm qualified to make this criticism because I'm American. We think of naked adults as perfectly fine, but naked children, whom we like to believe are totally innocent and asexual, are somehow obscene. Doesn't this sound just a little messed up to you?
"Ronja Rövardotter" has child nudity. Two sisters, Madicken and Lisabet, run around naked in both the film "Du är inte klok, Madicken" and the television series "Madicken". These are all stories by Astrid Lindgren, creator of Pippi Longstocking. Sit down for this. These are FAMILY films, from a country that has avoided developing a perverted notion of children. You want an asthmatic apoplectic aneurysm? Watch "Árvácska", ("Nobody's Daughter"), a brilliant Hungarian film. A little girl is naked through about half of it.
Get a grip. Wake up and take a look at this big world we live in.
