Thanks.......Barbara Lewis, interesting.....I thought it was a man and he sings something about the sunshine or sun goes up or what ever..but it was 20 years ago and there might be some blanks in my memory today....Unfortunately its difficult to get this movie today and at Amazon it costs 159 bucks....That's creepy. I guess I am just one year too late to get it for about 15$ or so.
Maybe I find someone who put on video.

Hiltom~ Got mine on Ebay for 30 bucks. Theres a video place in Canada that carries them. They put up a new one as soon as I bought mine. Theyre brand new, never been taken out of the package. He may still have one left if you want to check Ebay.com I dont know if you can order from there or not (I cant, I made my aunt get it for me because I dont have a credit card lol) but good luck finding it...

by ensemble cast of "the midnight hour"

reply

That was such a hilarious dance sequence! Just watched the flick again today (as is the tradition!) It is such a cool move...and scary for a Made for TV flick.

I own the DVD and the VHS of the movie. The soundtrack to the movie is actually on the flipside of the disc. You can play the songs alone without having to play the movie. It's like a CD version or something. Anyone interested
in buying the movie, let me know. I can make a nice copy for 10 bucks.

reply

I'm interested in buying the movie but can you list the sound track? I've been looking for these certain songs for a long time.

reply

what about that song when they were all dying it was something like " im dead ur dying everyone try to get dead" anybody know the real title???

reply

The name of that song is "I'm Dead You're Dying" I don't think it's a real song...I played it on my dvd, and recorded it onto my mp3 player, LOL. I love that song, the dance isnt bad either.

can I get a copy of the i'm dying song?
or you can upload it to my system at: tsgc.dyndns.org
thank you.

reply

Really? I have watched the DVD at least 5 times with my seven year old nephew and never knew that the flip side was the soundtrack. I'll have to check on that. I saw the movie when it made it's TV debut back in the mid 80's. I was about 8 years old and thought that it was the coolest movie. I still enjoy it!

reply

Is that a joke? The front of the DVD is a picture of all the vampires.

^ Uh, this. I have the Anchor Bay DVD and it is not double-sided. There is a picture of the vampires printed on the disc along with the title. I wish there were a soundtrack included.

Does ANYONE know the title of the song that's being played when Melissa & Lucinda are standing at the stairwell when pretty much more than half of the partygoers have already been turned into the undead? Also during that song we see Mary (the blonde friend who tried unsuccessfully to look "punk" and wanted to be the "Bride of Frankenstein") bite and turn the "Frankenstein" party-goer into one of the undead. And at that point Lucinda says "some things never change". I've busted my ass for 5 years trying to find out the title to that song, it has a Gregorian chant-esque melody to it without any lyrical content and I do believe it's strictly an instrumental.

Next...what's the guitar oriented song we hear when Phil comes upon the railroad tracks, sees Sandy for the first time and has his little "day dream" episode about holding and slowdancing with her? And no I'm not talking about "Sea of Love" or "Devil or Angel". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out with this. For those 2 songs to never ever have been released in any form would be such a shame to no end, IMO.

Thanks in advance for your help...You'll be WELL REWARDED by myself if someone can give me the song titles.

Once again, thank you endlessly,
Brandon K (aka LivNDead)

I've been trying to find that Gothic sounding song for the last 8 years or so, I feel ya on that one. I think the song was made just for the movie, like "Get Dead." My oldest sister grew up in that era and dressed just like how Mary was dressed in the movie and she listened to all that type of music and was raised in the big city of Los Angeles. she said she doesn't remember or think it ever came out by a particular band. And believe me she knows a ton of music, music was her life back then. I watched that movie religously as a child since it first aired on tv and have showed it to a ton of different people since 1985 and no one has been able to answer that qustion. BUT if you do find out, PLEASE let me know.

Now the other guitar song you're talking about I might be able to answer, but I have to ask my parents (they're music lovers too) and play it for them. So it will be awhile before I can get back to you. I think its a song from the late '50's or early '60's. You might want to look into Richie Valens or similar artists. He's the one that wrote the song, "Sleepwalk" which is an awsome song by the way. I highly recomend buying or downloading that song if you like guitar music, I'm sure you'll know it if you hear its very popular.

But I also have a question for you, do you know the name of the band or song thats being played when Melissa is getting Mary dressed in the restroom? Mary and Meslissa are talking about Vinny. Then Melissa almost gets bit by her grandmother Lucinda but Mary interupts.

Please let me know, thanks.

reply

Ritchie Valens did not write the song "Sleepwalk" That song came out in 1959 AFTER Ritchie Valens was killed. The song was written by Santo and Johnny.

Thanks for the help tymaroudas! It took months of researching to find out what the titles of those songs. I FINALLY got in touch with a gentleman who was in charge of all of the sndtrk and score music. And yes you're right they wee written and recorded exclusifically for the movie. He e-mailed me and said they really aren't even "song", just a few measures long to cover their exclusive scenes. In any event, my band and I have made 2 "complete" and separate songs out of both of those score/sndtrk snippets and we all (the band) love both songs as well as everyone who's heard them. Thanks again and take care.

reply

No problem livndead. Hey I would like to hear those two songs your band made out of them. Does your band have a website? Perhaps the infamous myspace? Please let me know.

Oh and by any chance did the guy you e-mailed say the same for the song being played while Melissa and Mary are getting ready in the restroom? That one might be a real song... or maybe not. Again, please let know and thanks for the information, take care as well.

I love the soundtrack and think it was the best thing about the movie. Not that I dislike the movie, but the soundtrack was pretty awesome.

Hi, I am looking for that soundtrack where those girls are in the makeup room and it starts right after "Clap For The Wolfman" when that guy and the midget zombie are sitting on the stairs. What is the name of the song and who sings it?
