Ok, just a stupid question...

I notice in the scenes where they are by the lockers, the lockers appear to be outside. Do any schools actually have lockers outside? I would think that would not be very convenient in bad weather (rain, etc).

I always think about this because I've seen it on The Princess Diaries and on the show South of Nowhere where their lockers are outside too.

Yep, I live in Arizona and went to high school in the 90's. All of our lockers were outdoors. Most of them were in outdoor hallways or under little "awnings" so that if it was raining we wouldnt get wet. Snow is not an issue since it doesnt happen in Phoenix.

The movie was filmed in AZ.

Yeah I went to San Clemente high school in Southern California. Our lockers were outside like in this movie. And yes, outside schools can be very annoying when it rains. Luckily we have great weather most of the year.

Well, the movie was filmed in Arizona, so I guess it would make since for the lockers to be outside.

it probably depends on the region.. here in CA, the lockers are outside under overhangs..rain and wind are about as bad as it gets here..i'm sure in WI and MN, they're indoors..

In alachua florida, the lockers where all outside, thought they were covered by an overhang. But at my high school in pa, all indoors.

We had lockers outside at my highschool. We didn't have indoor hallways, all the classes, the entire school was outside, just the classrooms were inside.. When it rained, we brought an umbrella or got wet.

I went to jr. high school and high school in southern California. There were long rows of lockers in both sheltered (but not indoor) corridors and along exterior walkways with just the building's eaves overhanging. This was in the 1960s and early 1970s. I think a lot of schools don't even have lockers anymore.
