Brother /Sister relationship being good

It still was the typical, predictable, over-done plot.

Whenever I see older sister/younger brother, it's like "(Yawn) Older sister is cool, pretty, popular. Younger brother is nerdy, strikes out all the time. Hits on older sister's friends. Strikes out.(Yawn)"

I guess writers can't come up with anything else.

I agree. They seemed to have a good relationship and were very close. In fact, they probably had more conversations with each other than the other characters in the movie. I also liked how they supported each other from the beginning of the movie all the way to the end. It is refreshing to see!

Yes. Teenage girls in movies and tv shows tend to be bitter, miserable, and at odds with parents and siblings. It has become such a tiresome cliche that it's nice when any movie or show goes the opposite way for a change.
