Trivia or facts about Gotcha! ?

This is one of my all time personal favourites.
Fantastic music, superb comedy, suspense and what a feeling !
I must have watched this one at least twenty times, but I never
get tired of it. I was basically raised with this movie...

Does anyone have any trivia or facts about this movie ?
I really want to find out as much as possible about it.

Also, having been to Eastern-Europe in the 80's, I know how
terrible it was when you wanted to cross the borders. And the
East-Germans were cold as ice and always suspected everyone.
So to me, it's also a realistic view on how things were...

Another thing that makes this movie so enjoyable is the fact
that it's mostly placed in Europe. That certainly makes it
even more entertaining.

*SPOLIERS*

There are several classic moments in the movie, some are:

* When Jonathan (Anthony Edwards) orders "Per-nod" while
in Paris. This is so funny...

* When Manolo (Jsu Garcia/Nick Corri) tells the blond girl in Paris
that he's Carlos the terrorist from Algeria.

* When Manolo tells Jonathan that he can not be seen with Bambi.

* When Jonathan tells Sasha (Linda Fiorentino) that he's 21 (?),
then it turns out he's 18 (when she tells him she likes 18 year olds).
And also that he first says he's had a number of girls, but then when
she says she likes "wirgins", he says he's really a "wirgin"...
"That's twice you've lied. Let it not be a third..." - Sasha

* When Jonathan has rented a car in East-Germany and says that
it's a "German Rent-A-Wreck".

Did I forget something ? A lot, because most of the movie is fun/great !

Jsu Garcia was on Coast To Coast AM last week (I'm listening to the podcast right now) and he said that Johnny Depp "handed" him the script, so I guess he's saying Johnny Depp turned down the role in which he played opposite Anthony Edwards.

Trivia:
An homage from the TV show Chuck Season 2, Episode 2: Chuck vs the Seduction.

Melinda Clarke guest stars as Sasha Banacheck.

The name sounded familiar... google-fu didn't automatically link to Linda Fiorentino's character in Gotcha!, because she's only listed by the first name, Sasha.
