The Saddest And Most Depressing Movie I Ever Seen

I hate to say it, but this was by far the most depressing and saddest movie I ever seen. That poor little girl went through all kinds of hell; her family getting killed, the Ewok village raided and burned down, she gets kidnapped, she almost gets killed by the winged demon, she meets up with a grumpy old man who at first rejects her in a mean way, she tells the story of her family to Noa after he mentions his friend Salack is gone, she gets kidnapped again and held in a dungeon, she is captured a third time and Noa has to fight to get her back, and she bids the Ewoks farewell all to the most depressing soundtrack. I'm sorry to sound like a wussy, but this movie did NOT make me feel good. This movie and its soundtrack forced tears out of me every time.

Seriously, Lucas, how much hell can you put a 7 year old girl through in less than a week the movie took place in?

The only good thing about this movie was Teek. He was cute, he was funny, and he was very fast.

I guess we all see movies in our own way, but I freakin loved this movie as a kid and never found it depressing. I found it the opposite - fun and uplifting. It was a shame she lost her parents but it helped the story move along, as a kid I was rooting for her to make it through.

As a side note, when I was little I thought Wizard of Oz was depressing because it was so weird and creepy. Same with Return to Oz, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - you know, kids movies like that. The Ewok movies were magical to me at age 5-7. They were really cool star wars spin offs, they had that special Sci-Fi/fairy tale tone to them.

if you think what went in Battle for Endor is sad, then you need to go watch the last 20 minutes of the first Ewoks movie.
