I prefered this to most of his other stuff....

Everyone told me that Lone Wolf McQuade was the Chucksters best film, i have to disagree. Code of Silence has to be the best i've seen so far. To date I have watched the missing in action trilogy, lone wolf mcquade, are there any better movies that i may have overlooked?

I agree that COS is the only Chuck film with brains. But LWM is great cartoon nonsence.

i watched silent rage last night and that was awful!

I wish they remade SILENT RAGE or something, it actually has a pretty clever idea that should be utilized in a more sophisticated and expensive, and hopefully smart Hollywood motion picture.
I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean.

reply

No need to remake a classic movie "Silent Rage", because it's a really great movie as it was made.

The Delta Force is good. Easily Chucks best supporting cast with Lee Marvin (in his last film), George Kennedy and an excellent performance by Robert Forster. It starts of tense and admittedly gets a little silly at the end with OTT action scenes (great fun though) . Definitely one of the best from Chuck Norris.

i've been working my way through his films over the last few weeks. i've seen delta force a few times over the years and always thought it was great, i still do! for me it is definitely in my top three. i'm going to watch Invasion USA tonight but i'm not holding out much hope that it'll be any good!

It's a pity that the rest of his career was based on Action Nonsense when you see this film.

But I still enjoy some of the other Chucks.

Beside COS and LWM I like best The Octagon, Breaker Breaker, Silent Rage, Invasion U.S.A. and Forced Vengeance.

I haven't seen Slaughter In San Francisco, The Force of One, Top Dog, Wind in the Wire, Forest Warrior and an Eye for an Eye. Then I can say I have seen all the Chucks films.

It's great to have objectives in life.

i saw invasion USA last night and it was fantastic! i'd missed this one in the 80s, the avenging force was my favourite film back then and only found out recently that it was the sequel to invasion USA. i had no idea though i do prefer michael dudikoffs matt hunter to the chucksters. but even so i think they are still effin awesome!

I agree with your favourites. Lone wolf Mcquade was like a beefed up Walker Texas Ranger but i enjoyed that one. The Octagon is ok as a throwaway movie, but there were two I just couldn't make it through, Silent Rage and A Force of One. Awful!

I've decided to re-watch some old Chuck Norris movies lately and rent some that I haven't seen before, and after seeing Lone Wolf McQuade and Missing in Action recently, I can't say I was really thrilled. They are not completely bad but just not as satisfying as I remembered. Lone Wolf McQuade especially is fun in some places, but it's too much of a rip-off from Leone westerns in a way and not a great one at that. Both are not as good as The Hitman, for example, which I still think is one of Chuck's best movie for sure despite its flaws (Norris just suits this role perfectly with his cool attitude and appearance). Delta Force 1 I also remember being pretty good in the genre. Still, I have yet to re-watch Code of Silence, which I just rented, and some others I haven't even seen before, like the Missing in Action sequels,Forced Vengeance, The Octagon and Delta Force 2. Of course, I saw and remember Way of The Dragon quite well, and the climax is still one of Chuck's best fight scene ever, if not THE best. But what would you guys suggest after Code of Silence honestly (I also saw and remember Sidekick and Hellbound, which are not very good despite being somehow entertaining, and Good Guys Wear Black, which was just plain bad)?

i would recommend Invasion USA. Its totally bonkers, but fantastically fun and endlessly entertaining!

Thank you for the suggestion! I was thinking of renting it but wasn't too sure. I'll give it a try then! This week will be Code of Silence, then next week will be Invasion U.S.A and Missing in Action 2 and 3 if I can find them all. By the way, I love your signature!

Thanks man! By the way, if Invasion USA floats your boat then you should look up Avenging Force with Michael Dudikoff. Its the sequel to Invasion USA in that its the same character (like the Bond films), but its even better!

reply

Thanks again! Oh man, Michael Dudikoff brings back memories of my early teenage years watching countless action movies which I don't even remember by names now. It's even possible I've already seen Avenging Force without remembering it. He sure was a bad ass in his own way; maybe not as macho as Norris but close lol! I'll sure try to find it if I can (which could be a bit tricky). By the way, have you ever seen the Delta Force sequels? I barely remember the second one with Norris and I have never even seen the other one(s?).

reply

I have seen Delta Force 1 and 2. The second in my opinion is nowhere near as good the first, and the third one is supposed to be bad although I've never seen it. If you are having trouble finding some films, you can always DL them. I justify that by eventually buying them anyway so theres no harm done!

Thank you for the tips! I guess that's why I don't remember Delta Force 2 that much lol. And you're right, downloading could be a solution; except that in my case, it's more complicated considering I don't have Internet at home yet and that the only other place I watch movies online is at work, and I can't risk downloading something there. But e-bay can turned out to be a very good source in that case sometimes; often you can find rare movies in good conditions at very low prices, so I'll look it up there if needed. And I appreciate and respect your position on downloading for sure...although I'd be a hypocrit if I'd say I don't profit from free movies downloaded by my friends every once in a while. That being said, I always end up buying the movies I like the most anyway, so no too much harm done I guess.

Sidekicks is a way worse movie than Good Guys Wear Black. Sidekicks is just a crappy The Karate Kid ripoff.

reply

Sidekicks is a great one!

reply

This is the best one.Missing In Action was good too.Oh yeah can't forget The Delta Force. That was really popular too.Lee Marvin co-starred in that one with Chuck.Hero And The Terror wasn't bad either. But Code Of Silence is great.Did you notice that most of the supporting was in Above The Law?It was even directed by the same director.

reply

Above the Law as in the Seagal one? I have no idea!

In the Sixth Sense, Bruce willis is going bald

reply

Yeah.Same director. And most of the supporting cast in this one, including the villain were in Above The Law.

IMO this movie holds up well after 30 years. You can't really say that about a lot of his other stuff, much as I have a fair regard for The Chuckster.🐭

reply

Nah this is easily his best movie.
