just watched this about a week ago it still is really powerful in parts

even after watching it a few times it was a powerful experience. it's so dark and cold and that's why it is so effective. if it was done in a funny campy way it wouldn't be a great, cult classic film. another thing that makes it great is the original christmas songs which make it original more real feeling and not generic and boring and bad which traditional songs would have done.
