What earlier movie had the same bullet holes in the wall scene?

I swear there's another, earlier film noir that has almost the exact same scene where bullet holes are coming through a wall with shafts of light pouring through.

Anyone have any idea of that other movie's title?

It wasn't 'film noir' but the effect you describe probably happened in the Evil Dead or Evil dead 2.

The first time I saw the bullet hole with the shaft of light was in Fritz Lang's Ministry of Fear (1944) the second time was in Castellari's Keoma (1976) one of the last of the Spaghetti Westerns.
