Was there a scene cut with Irving and Streisand near the end?
Ebert - And the ending, with Yentl sailing off for America, seemed like a cheat; I missed a final scene between Yentl and her "bride."
Was a scene like this filmed, but cut?

No. When Anshel is leaving for Riga, the way he says goodbye to Hadass makes it clear he has no intention of returning.
Ebert means he would have LIKED a proper farewell between them.
I dont think it would have added anything.
Yentl gave Avigdor a note to give Hadass. That was the good-bye, and even that was more than in the original story.
