What happened to the cigar man?

Maybe I missed something, I know the greedy man got on the ferris wheel, then disappeared but did they ever say what happened to him?

He was turned into the wooden indian statue that you see walking around with the parade. When he is not walking on parade, he is just a statue. What turning him into the statue had to do with him being greedy...you got me but that is what he became.

Thanks! Yeah, the Indian doesn't make sense, what with the greed and all but thanks for clearing that up for me. : )

Wasn't the Indian statue there long before the carnival arrived? What made you think he was the statue?

I suppose it can be assume that he took the place of the statue, simply because he is seen as the Indian during the parade. I need to watch it again.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

reply

Ah, I see, that does make sense.

I think he was just turned into what was the symbol of the cigar shop at the beginning of the movie. Narration says he was greedy as he is putting the Indian in front of the shop. I think it's just a bit of symbolism to tie us back and let us know who he is.

The Autumn People would first grant a person their wish, then change them so they could never take full advantage of their wish. I would conclude the greedy man was changed into the wooden Indian so he could never enjoy his wealth.
