Toni was right to shoot the hitman

He saved that guy's family by getting rid of the hitman. Toni was not pure evil like Sosa. He got destroyed in the end as it turned out while that monster down south lived on.

They were staking him out for a while and wanted to send a message to the world. Don't mess with us. Killing the wife and children was to show how little humanity they had.

But that's not how Sosa wanted it done they wanted to send a message of "Don't *beep* with us".

well it was right morality wise

but right for him ? it got him killed

in this situation either you spend time in jail or kill a family to get out of jail
which is more valuable to you

True...

In fact, the ironic thing about Tony shooting the hitman and saving the family, is that it actually turned out to be the most dangerous thing he ever could've done. Out of all the sketchy characters that Tony associated with, and out of all the things he did, saving a family from death oddly backfired on him. I guess you could say that was Tony's last good deed. His morals were different than Sosa's.
