I love it! It's delicious, witty and sweet.
The dialogue is something else, maybe because it was based on a play.
M. Steenburgen and D. Moore are perfect and sympathetic in the leading roles.
A real "romantic comedy" indeed!

I remember watching this over and over in 1984 when it looped on HBO. Fell in love with it then and still love it today. Had a serious crush on Mary Steenburgen due to this movie. :-)
I can understand some of the negative reviews (they're not completely wrong). But this movie will always have a special place in my heart, regardless of critics.
Hi. I first watched it more than a decade later. I've always loved Dudley but Mary shines in this. I've watched most of her films but this and TIME AFTER TIME are my favourites. I really like her acting in those, plus she's specially sweet and appealing IMHO.
