How annoying were the women

I'm sorry I watch horror and slashers quite a bit, so I've seen some really bad films and the characters are even more annoying. But half the time I felt like these women(even Kelly Preston)were just horrible, I mean a killer is coming after you you don't just stand there crying "Please don't hurt me" I mean if it were that easy I'd doubt he'd be a killer cause he would have just stopped every time he was asked that. Pus Laurie, what a great friend, hiding away while her friends are killed off looking for her

They could had run or even maybe fought back but just screamed and screamed.

However a segment of the audience which frequent IMDB would be pleased with such female roles as they do not like those who fight back!

It's that man again!!

Agreed, that's what makes these movies like.. yeah ok.. that makes us lose interest...! They have chances of running, self defence. or getting out.. instead, just stand and scream like a moron.. makes you want them to die..!

This was a trope of a lot of movies back then...someone is about to be shot, stabbed, run over etc, and yet instead of reacting instantly and getting the F out of the way, they scream and cower in terror, put their hands up and actually allow themselves to be killed.
