Just an observation, but there are so many accents going on in this series. Maggie(older) has an English accent, younger Maggie has an American accent, Father Ralph has an American accent, Maggie's father(Paddy) has an Irish accent (if I remember correctly), Frank has an Irish accent, Paddy's sister has an American accent, and Luke has an Australian accent.

Seriously, it was a mishmash.

It feels like accents was something the makers didn't even care about, but it's quite distracting. They just went with the native accents of each actor, no attempt to all sound Australian or New Zealand (the Clearys) even though it's set in Australia.
