Anybody else enjoy this movie?

it has its moments. The opening credits with the in comparabl Jeffrey Osborne singing the heart talking I just want to be your friend.prior in the hood playing cards prior to his character getting picked up by the rich man pun intended.however the idea of a black man in early 1980 s America being exploited is one in which the movie was destined to never really get over.when Robert Townsend in his Hollywood shuffle he had a character named batty batty batty who was always the favorite token ala JJ Evans, Benson, Webster and in this case the toy

I really liked it, just watched it again for the first time in years. I think it's pretty funny and somewhat touching in some scenes. It's definitely a product of its times. I think it's definitely underrated though.
